FROM DA BLOCK 2 BROADCAST
CREATIVE MEDIA PATHWAY FOR YOUTH STORYTELLERS
A youth media and storytelling initiative that bridges community voices with credible health education. Participants learn responsible content creation while amplifying brain health awareness through interviews, short form video, and real stories.
Why It Matters
Young voices carry the weight and the heartbeat of our streets. By providing a platform where media skills meet medical advocacy, we transform raw expression into life-saving community education. Storytelling isn't just about content; it's about shifting the narrative of brain health in our own neighborhood.
What The Pathway Is
A high-impact media literacy and content creation experience. We guide youth storytellers through the basics of broadcast energy, conducting interviews, capturing short-form video, and editing narratives that matter, all while anchoring their work in credible brain aneurysm awareness.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS EXPLORE
Responsible Media
Understanding the weight of visibility and how to share information with integrity.
Storyboarding Impact
Planning visual sequences that capture attention and communicate life-saving facts.
Broadcast Energy
Techniques for confident interviewing, on-camera presence, and clear delivery.
Short-Form Narrative
Crafting engaging, fast-paced content that makes complex health info accessible.
Community Advocacy
Connecting media production to real-world impact and brain health awareness.
Who This Is For
- Youth (Ages 13-18) with a passion for content creation
- Aspiring storytellers looking for a platform and purpose
- Young people interested in media, broadcast, or community advocacy
- Students looking to bridge tech/creative skills with real-world impact
How the Pathway Works
01
Skill Development: Interactive workshops focused on short-form storytelling, interviews, and media production.
02
Health Immersion: Guided learning on brain health, warning signs, and credible messaging.
03
Content Creation: Building a portfolio of high-impact videos and interviews focused on brain health.
04
Community Broadcast: Amplifying the work through collaborative sharing and local media opportunities.
Why This Pathway Stands Out
We don't just teach technical skills. We bridge the gap between street-to-storytelling by anchoring every camera angle and interview in medical advocacy. This is about turning creative potential into deep community impact through the lens of one of our most urgent health issues.
